About

I moved to Los Angeles almost two decades ago and took lots of risks and leaps before landing my dream job as the Head of Human Resources and Operations at the Academy Award winning production company, Participant Media. As one of Participant’s first employees, I was able to create the entire Human Resources and Operations infrastructure while cultivating an internal culture that supported Participant’s unique mission to create content that inspires and compels social change.

During my nine years at Participant Media, the company accelerated from an unknown start-up to an Academy Awarding winning entertainment company that has now produced over 80 films including An Inconvenient Truth, Spotlight, Wonder, Green Book, Roma, The Help and Lincoln.

Eight years into my time at Participant, I began wondering if I could make it on my own as a strategic human resources consultant, executive coach and leadership trainer. I told a friend that I either wanted to quit my job or move to the beach. She turned to me with all of her Capricorn practical nature and said, “I think you should move to the beach.” So I did… hence all the beach photos on this website and throughout my social media feed.

And then a year later, I quit my job.

I think making the dream come true of living at the beach made the idea of starting my own coaching and consulting firm seem somehow possible. I also got a coach, mapped out my plan and had my first consulting and coaching clients lined up (with Participant being my first consulting client) before I gave notice. I fully believe that we leap, and the net appears, but I also think you need to starting mapping out what that net is going to look like!

I’ve been offered full-time, C-Level HR/Operations/L&D jobs by companies that will be acquired or go public one day and I’ll have to question my sanity, but I’ve turned them all down because I truly love what I do.

I help people and companies become better versions of themselves. Who gets that lucky??

I’ve consulted and coached at amazing companies in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. The throughline with all of my clients from CEO to starving student is that you have to take ownership of your career, double down on the things that you love and the areas where you excel and let go of the rest. Our multitasking and soul-crushing workload has become another form of procrastination. We need to climb up into the press box of our lives and see all of the opportunities on the field.

I’d love to help your company become one that grows and inspires the next wave of leaders. I’d love to help you, the seeker, take the next step on your career path.

I’m here for you and it’s time to shine.
